It’s season of the coats, so time to get it out and try to make it. It’s my first coat – unless you count the pleather jacket we did on @britishsewingbee semi final! It’s the @maisonfauveuk Tsar coat, made using fabric from @rainbowfabricskilburn

I spoke at @pentlandplantsgardencentre fashion show about fashion and colours and what they mean to me.
We raised over £3400 for Scottish Action for Mental Health.
The dress I wore is a @gertie18 Lamour dress made from pink duchess satin with a lace overlay. It was my first attempt at boning since the @britishsewingbee quarter final.

I finally had a spare weekend at home and I needed new tops to go with jeans, so had a look in my stash and found some fabrics to make with.
I made the Grafton top from @cashmerette with fabric from @gingertwiststudio
I heavily hacked the floral one to have a gathered front and wide sleeves. I don’t have a huge stash of fabric and I’d been keeping these two for ‘good’, but realised they are better off made into a garment than sitting in my cupboard. Shop your stash!

I’m keeping going with this because I like doing it! My first me-made of adulthood, I made this in 2023.
Quite an ambitious make for a first dip back into dressmaking, but I loved the style and the fabric. @cashmerette do cup sized patterns, which is a total game changer for those curvy girls among us (this is not an ad!).
