This is a beautiful song which fits perfectly with my Lydia Bennet inspired Made to Measure dress. I love singing song repertoire and I get to do so in many languages. It’s one of the joys of being a singer – telling stories! Geek alert – this song also contains the Lydian mode, which is a scale with a raised 4th… you’ll hear it on the 8th note that I sing – it’s a wee bit unexpected.

It was literary icons week and the quarter finals. Sorry to say goodbye to @stitchyrebecca 1. Tare looking awesome in my Austen inspired dress. 2. I came second in the pattern challenge, and I loved this wee hat. I’m looking forward to wearing it again…3. Grown up Matilda transformation challenge. Loved this too! 4. I did wear a deerstalker before when I played Despina in Cosí fan tutte with @Irishnationalopera in 2023 just after I started sewing again.

It was a great week and I’m pleased with how my outfit turned out.
And ‘slutty k pop’ might be my new favourite phrase. Can’t wait to wear this for Christmas parties. The made to measure – not the transformation!
