GBSB Week 8 Music Motivation! Lydia by Gabriel Fauré

This is a beautiful song which fits perfectly with my Lydia Bennet inspired Made to Measure dress. I love singing song repertoire and I get to do so in many languages. It’s one of the joys of being a singer – telling stories! Geek alert – this song also contains the Lydian mode, which is a scale with a raised 4th… you’ll hear it on the 8th note that I sing – it’s a wee bit unexpected.

@scottishfrocktails rounded off a great week!

Getting to see these gorgeous couple of bees again was wonderful and these wonderful women too!

Sew nice to see so many creative makers looking fantastic at @scottishfrocktails Bathroom box! Everywhere should have these.

And earlier in the week a visit from another bee! @stitchyrebecca

And an appearance on Grant Stott’s radio show! I loved it. I look so short next to him!!

Happy Fit Check Friday! Me-made trousers…

…using the same fabric as my week 1 top and the same pattern as my week 1 M2M

If anyone clocks what the pattern is, can you put it below? TIA. Shop bought top (ancient) and bartered earrings from a pal!
