Happy Fit Check Friday! A Lego print jumpsuit

What’s not to love. The earrings I wore on the show were also fab – I forgot to put them on here. But once again, they were a present from my lovely sister-in-law, @jones_karen_101 She knows my style. (Basically I have the style of a six year old girl!)

GBSB Week 6 Round Up! Kids’ week was loads of fun

The pattern challenge was a tricky one – my hands have only just recovered and dear help any children wearing those tutus (very uncomfortable around the middle…!).

Loved the transformation challenge. I never knew I could make things just out of my brain like that. I was so proud of Zip Kid, but it was too big. Maybe it will fit my fab model now…!

Music Motivation for week 5 of the Great British Sewing Bee!

Every secret needs to have a code word… our family code word when we were keeping Sewing Bee top secret, was ‘Peter Grimes’, which is an opera by Benjamin Britten.

It has an aria in it called the Embroidery Aria, so it seemed to be quite fitting! Thanks again to my bestie, @jon_the_pianist for recording these snippets when he was on ‘holiday’ at our house!

Here is a link to the full thing recorded with my other pal, @ingridplayspiano

Happy Fit Check Friday! The shop bought outfit I wore

Just because we sew, doesn’t mean we can’t wear shop bought clothes.

This set of dungarees is about 12 years old, and I still love them. Also, there was a wee surprise in my pocket! I haven’t bought new clothes since I started sewing again about 3 years ago. If you make your own clothes, do you still occasionally buy ready to wear?

Week 4 Round Up

Mexico week! I loved making the top for the pattern challenge!

I will never sew oil cloth again; I thought Tare looked incredible on the runway! I was really proud of this M2M. I wasn’t looking forward to sewing on metres and metres of ribbon. But it worked! Bring it on, week 5!!
