Lovely to sing two Mozart Requiems this weekend with this super bunch

One of the things I love about my job is meeting new people (@sionedgwendavies) and reconnecting with old ones (@daviddouglastenor and Stewart Kempster) Garleton Singers did so well – sopranos behind me were really excellent – all led by the wonderful Stephen Doughty.

A great way to spend the weekend.

A whistle stop 24 hours in Northern Ireland

Got to see most of the important people, and the kids had a ball @northernirelandopera Into the Woods.

A superb show – thanks to @cameronmenziesdirector and all of the on stage, backstage, office and orchestra team.

The kids loved it. And so did I.

Swimming in the North Sea with my Christmas tree hat on

We even saw a seal, and what I thought was a humpback whale… 🤣 Happy Christmas Eve, everyone.

I know some people find Christmas very tricky – I hear you. Find what makes you smile and try to do it today. That’s what I did.

And find friends bonkers enough to join you, like @sew_sleep_deprived

Also @claire_xx_h who would have been there had it not been for her having to isolate.

It has been some week!

Two Messiahs in the @nationalconcerthall with this lovely bunch.

It was really quite a moving experience – thinking of the premier of Handel’s masterpiece in Dublin.

Also realising that every member of the audience had weighed up the risk they were taking in being there, and had decided it would be worth it. Very humbling to think that, but I think it was definitely worth it.

The playing, the singing, the piece, all added up to create an unforgettable pair of concerts.
