It has been some week!

Two Messiahs in the @nationalconcerthall with this lovely bunch.

It was really quite a moving experience – thinking of the premier of Handel’s masterpiece in Dublin.

Also realising that every member of the audience had weighed up the risk they were taking in being there, and had decided it would be worth it. Very humbling to think that, but I think it was definitely worth it.

The playing, the singing, the piece, all added up to create an unforgettable pair of concerts.

I loved singing Mozart’s amazing Mass in C Minor

with the Cleveland Phil Choir and Mowbray Orchestra last night.

It was wonderful to share the stage with @shelenherman again. Also @dominicbevantenor Robin Crinson, Baritone, and Thomas Neal, conductor.

Pint for Frank, number 30

At a good friend’s mum’s funeral, so this one was for Maureen too. When my dad died, I decided I would drink 76 (his age) pints of Guinness in memory of him. Each has to be in a different pub and with someone who knew him, and we drink to the memory of Frank and others who have departed.

Watching myself on the big screen in my own house was a bit weird

A sneaky peak of @northernirelandopera @cameronmenziesdirector and @causeway_pictures film ‘Old Friends and Other Days’. I’m feeling very proud to have been involved. Beautiful performances from all. I’m also amused that it inspired an impromptu spooky nativity concert from the kids. Also, excellent news that we’ve been shortlisted for London Short Film Festival.

This beautiful film by @northernirelandopera and @cameronmenziesdirector

is premiering in Belfast on Wednesday as part of @belfastfilmfestival It has already been selected for Prague International Film Festival and is a finalist in the British Short Film Awards. I am very proud to be part of this gorgeous project and wish I could see it in the cinema in Belfast on Wednesday.

See @northernirelandopera for details.

Rather than being at the cinema in Belfast, I’ll be trying to portray an alien in another opera project with @red_note_ensemble in Edinburgh.

Oops! I’m a day late! Happy World Opera Day!

Here’s a few pics of recent opera escapades. I’ve just started a new project too, and another new one next week. I’m so relieved to be back at work, doing what I love to do.

Back home after 4 weeks of Puccini

…with @northernirelandopera and a dream team cast and creative team. I’m glad to be back, but I had a ball, making new friends and amazing music.
